Congatec announced that as of September 7, 2023, its conga-TC570r products featuring the 11th generation Intel® Core™ processor family have received the IEC-60068 certification, confirming their suitability for railway applications.

The IEC-60068 certification not only confirms the suitability of products for railway applications but also demonstrates their durability against challenging environments such as rapid temperature changes, shocks, and vibrations.

IEC-60068 certified conga-TC570r modules can be used in various new railway applications, including Train Control and Management Systems (TCMS), predictive maintenance, passenger information systems, video surveillance/analysis, ticketing and fare collection, as well as fleet management and optimization.

In addition to these applications; it’s an ideal choice for other transportation applications exposed to challenging conditions such as automation, autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs), and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

The conga-TC570r modules are certified under IEC-60068, confirming their operational performance between -40°C and +85°C, including temperature variation (IEC-60068-2-14 Nb) and rapid temperature change (IEC-60068-2-14 Na).

In addition to the relevant tests, it has also passed shock and vibration resistance tests according to DIN EN 61373 APRIL 2011 CATEGORY 2 (railway applications) standard. The modules are also protected against challenging environmental conditions such as high humidity in accordance with IEC-60721-3-7 class 7K3, 7M2. Optional features of the products include compatible coatings that further enhance resistance to liquids and moisture.
